Friend of a Friend met through a mutual friend. They spent 10 years running into one another until circumstances aligned in the summer of 2020 and they began writing and playing music together. Brought together by a love of haunting chord progressions and melodic, languished, rhythmic soundscapes, the duo soon discovered their shared love of extreme sun, long drives and good snacks.
They play with a classical flamenco guitar but trigger electronics, they embrace classic rhyming couplets but disregard their expected phrasing. The result is a familiar yet striking sonic experience with references to folk, rock and world music that lives in a universe of its own making.
